Audience Profile- Daisy Howarth

Name: Amber Kelsey
Age: 16
Occupation: AS student- full time
Amber is a big music fan. she knows every lyrics to almost every song, and likes listening to a variety of bands and artists and genres from rap to rock. She enjoys listening to bands such as Kasabian, Don Broco, You Me At Six, Mayday Parade, and Young Guns with the odd rap song thrown in every now and then by artists such as Jay- Z and Kanye West.
Amber likes to go to festivals such as Glastonbury, Download and Reading and Leeds and spends most of her money on clothes, gigs and bus/train fare. the clothes she wears are mainly topshop, newlook, band merchandise, Doc Martens, Vans, smaller less popular shops, and often buys her clothes online. She always keeps her eye out for a bargain or a sale and would preferably spend as little as possible. she also has her nose pierced and drinks tea and energy drinks such as Monster and Red Bull.
She would prefer to go to a house party, rather than a club as it's much more relaxed and casual and when at gigs prefers to be at the front or in a mosh pit rather than in the side lines. Amber also waits after the gig to meet the band, have a picture and a chat about their up and coming music, and maybe tweet them in hope for a reply, as being involved and interacting with the band is an important part of the music and experience, but her opinion is mainly based on the quality and taste and style of music they play. She will also usually buy the singles or albums of the support acts in order to help the band grow and find someone new to listen to.
Amber spends most of her spare time looking after and riding her horse. She uses social networking sights including Twitter and -less so- facebook. She enjoys photography and diary's her day through twitter and instagram through pictures.
The types of magazine she buys as Kerrang! Rock, NME and sometimes The Rolling Stone as she enjoys both old and new 'rock' music such as Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, The Who, The Smiths, Led Zeppelin and The Kinks therefore Amber is my perfect target market as i hope to include both old and new music, selecting one classic band so have a section on every two weeks, while the rest of the magazine will include new rock music, a gig guide, new up and coming bands and exclusive competitions and interviews.
