I have noticed that the common rock music magazine cover involves either the band (main members) or the lead singer or front man. The colours used consist of mainly white, black and red, or blue and white, with the mast head behind the picture and the band name across the picture.
For my magazine i may use a red title, and the lead singer of my band on the front with the rest of the band included on the double page spread and contents page (which will also include pictures of the bands included throughout the magazine)
